I assume that the infection is in the skin (since it is not the most common site of staph, even if admitted to the hospital.) Is one of the few staph aureus bacteria that affects humans and other animals. However, drinking water from the shower was very unlikely to transmit infection. Your cat's digestive system destroys most bacteria specifically adapted if the environment in large quantities. Some local distribution of the defenses of the body (like a cut or immunosuppression) is required in addition to the exhibition because of the disease.
Many people carry Staphylococcus aureus in the nose without knowing it, and create the life on the skin without damage. People and animals are constantly exposed to staph without making others sick or ill. Sometimes, people try to remove doctors aureus from the nose by people with staph infections, to reduce the likelihood of recurrence, stands but as a rule somewhere.
MRSA is a synonym of Staphylococcus aureus resistant to methicillin. This means that they can be treated, wior any other of penicillin and other antibiotics, treatment is usually staphylococcus, but not necessarily a virus "super". Resistance to penicillin is a special feature, not an indication that the bacteria is higher in particular those who are susceptible. The majority of MRSA responds cheap, common antibiotics such as sulfonamides and tetracyclines.
